Delivery & Shipping

UK Delivery

 

We have a range of delivery options for our customers within the UK. Whichever service you choose, we always aim to dispatch your order the same day if your order is placed Monday-Friday before 2 pm (excluding bank holidays), provided the item is in stock.

 

Standard Delivery - £7.95

 

Estimated delivery between 3-5 working days for in stock items and up to 14 working days for pre-order items. 

 

Express Delivery* - £8.95.

 

* Order before 2pm, usually delivered next working day (dependent on postcode), delivered by DPD or Royal Mail Special Delivery. Premium service with DPD includes notification of a 1-hour delivery slot and the option to manage your parcel in transit. Royal Mail Special Delivery will arrive the next working day before 1 pm—signature required. 

 

Saturday Delivery – £10.95

 

Failed deliveries which are returned to us because the carrier is unable to complete 2 delivery attempts & receives no communication from the recipient incur a £15 return to sender fee which will be charged to the purchaser. 

 

Collect from our Whalley store - FREE (collection times: Monday-Saturday 10.00 am - 5.00 pm)

 

Free delivery exclusions: SALE items are charged as standard delivery at £7.95 or express delivery at £8.95. Free delivery cannot be combined with other discount codes. 

 

 

International Delivery

 

We aim to dispatch all International orders the same day, provided the item is in stock and the order is placed before 2 pm.

 

European Union - £25.00

Rest of World - Shipping is calculated at checkout and is dependent on the value of the order. The minimum shipping cost is £29.99 (USA £60).

 

Shipping outside the UK can take up to 7 working days.

Tax & Duties

 

United Kingdom Orders

All UK orders include standard UK VAT.

 

International Orders (Outside the UK)

All qualifying purchases will be free of UK VAT. However, your order may be subject to local VAT, customs duties, and import fees set by your country's government. You must pay these additional charges to clear customs. We cannot calculate or pay these on your behalf. We strongly advise checking your local government's customs website before ordering to avoid unexpected delivery fees. 

 

If you refuse a shipment due to unexpected customs charges, you will be responsible for the original shipping costs, any import fees incurred, and the cost of returning the package to us. These will be deducted from your refund.


 

BFPO Deliveries

 

We are able to send orders to BFPO addresses. If you wish to make a purchase, you must comply with current BFPO weight limits for your location and use the following address format at checkout:

 

Name: SERVICE NUMBER, RANK and NAME
Address Line 1: UNIT or REGIMENT
Address Line 2: OPERATION, BARRACKS or CAMP or RAF STATION or NAVAL SHIP (if applicable)
Town/City: BFPO number
Postcode: BFPO postcode
Country: UK

 

The postcode entered at checkout must be in the standard UK format. You can check your postcode and BFPO number on the GOV.UK BFPO page.

 

 

Please note that we dispatch to BFPO addresses using Royal Mail. However, once your parcel has been handed over to BFPO, we cannot track it and cannot guarantee delivery time. You will need to contact the BFPO for further information.

 

 

BFPO and VAT



We are currently unable to remove VAT charged at checkout for orders being shipped to BFPO addresses outside the UK, but we can arrange a refund of the VAT to you. 


After placing your order, please email chat@sarahlayton.co.uk to request a VAT refund (within 14 days of dispatch), quoting your order number, confirmation of eligibility, and the BFPO address. Please note that any VAT/clearance charges (if applicable) may still need to be paid by you under local country arrangements.

 


Tracking Your Order

 

Once your order has been dispatched, we’ll email you with the tracking details so you can follow its journey.

 

Packaging

 

All our items are sent in their relevant branded packaging, wrapped in our signature Sarah Layton tissue paper and dispatched in plain shipping bags or boxes, depending on the order size. This allows for a discrete service, especially if you're buying for a present. 

 

Stock

 

In the unlikely event your item is out of stock, we’ll contact you with a new delivery date. You’ll have the opportunity to cancel your order at this point if you’re not happy with the time quoted.

 

If we are unable to supply an item, we will contact you with an option to supply an alternative item or refund your payment.

 

Please note: No orders are dispatched on Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holidays. Any orders placed during these times will be dispatched on the next working day. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for any international shipping delays due to customs or domestic carrier issues, we will endeavour to assist wherever we can.
